Target Audience
The intended audience for this program is cornea surgeons, comprehensive ophthalmologists with an interest in anterior segment and allied health personnel who are performing or assisting with cornea surgery.

Goal
To provide the latest information in the field of cornea and external disease with special emphasis on external disease, tumors and infections. The course will be a comprehensive update of corneal surgery, ocular surface disease, infectious disease and inflammatory disease.
Program Objectives
This meeting will enable attendees to:
- Identify the risk factors, diagnosis and treatment for pigmented lesions of the cornea, conjunctiva and iris;
- Understand the clinical uses and differences in the different corneal imaging modalities;
- Identify issues important to appropriate patient selection for corneal transplantation and describe the advantages and limitations of full thickness transplantation vs. selective lamellar surgery;
- Identify the relative merits and complications associated with the different techniques for corneal replacement (e.g., PK, DLEK, DSEK, LK, etc.);
- Describe how to prevent, recognize, and manage corneal inflammatory disease and anterior segment infectious disease.
