Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. National Historic Site
Don’t miss the opportunity to visit the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. national historic site and Sweet Auburn district. The whole site is self-guided except his birth home; the free tour tickets go fast, so make sure you arrive early. While you wait for your assigned tour time, stop by the Visitors Center, which tells the story of the Civil Rights Movement, and historic Ebenezer Baptist Church, where King was co-pastor with his father. Visit the King Center, where Dr. King’s Nobel Peace Prize is displayed, and where his and Coretta Scott King’s gravesite is located.
